i'm still trying to get this bator hubby brought home to a stable temp... it seems to finally be getting where i want it.. i saw in another thread to add glass jars of water.. i had 2 small jars that i dumped out the stuff and washed to use.. they ft great... but when i went to put water in the grooves in the bottom.. i have a hard time seeing that...

can i put a few drops of food coloring into the water before i add it to make it easier to see??

clear water inside of white styrofoam is just crazy... lol..

when we incubated a couple eggs this past summer we put food coloring in to be able to see the level. Didn't see any harmful effects since all of the eggs hatched [IMG] and we were using a homemade bator too!
