Can I keep chickens, ducks, geese, and turkeys in a 75x200 ft pasture, 1/2 wooded (scrub-oak and pine trees) 1/2 field? The pasture boarders a large pond for the ducks and geese. I know about blackhead with the chickens and turkeys but is there less chance of the turkeys contracting it in such a large area? They will all have separate coops aside from the ducks and geese, and i'm guessing the turkeys will just roost on the garden fence or in the trees. Can this work or no? any suggestions?

There are hawks in the area but they seem occupied with the rabbits. and there are dogs and people that would be considered predators. I'm going to have it all fenced down to the water though so dogs should not be a problem. Its the people that fish on the pond I worry most about.

my ducks guineas and some of my chickens all free range on our three acres together through the winter and I will be adding turkeys this spring. I think as long as predator's aren't a problem you should be ok.
