I thought of the chicken tractor idea, but the only way to make it practical is if the 'tractor' contains the coop where they roost each night. Basically a full self-contained mobile unit - and include a nesting box too.
I have seen a picture of a very large chicken tractor - which was basically a coop on the back of a trailer pulled by an actual tractor, with a fixed fenced covered area attached to the trailer to protect the chickens as they foraged. It would only be economical for actual farm paddocks.
