Can Ivy and Spider Plants Live Together.

I have this 19 inch pot and I am hoping to plant a spider plant in the middle and wrap ivy around the sides. Can they live together?
(Also is this a good plant combo or will it look bad?)
I don't care if it benefits eachother as well as the Three Sisters but I want to know if they are going to kill eachother.

Don't see why you couldn't, though some ivy may tend to strangle out other plants... then again my gardening approach is "put it in soil, will it grow?" As far as how it'd look, - if you already have the plants just put their current pots in there to get an idea of what it might look like, and see how you like it.
