Since I can't get rid of my rooster as a pet, I want to try as a meat bird, but I have no clue if he's a breed people eat. If so, what do I feed him to fatten him up? ...I hate to do this.

Any chicken can be used for food it's just a mater of what you want to do with the bird. A roster even an old one can always be used to make chicken broth.

In all honesty...no.

My birds are mainly skeleton and leg. If you're looking for leg meat, go for it. But there is little to NOTHING in the way of breast meat.

Hi guys. I've sold langshans for meat before. You just have to find the right group of people to sell to. Many asians (myself included) don't really care that there's not much breast meat. Some of the old timers go straight for the drumsticks when checking the plumpness of a bird. Have you tried posting on craig's list? Good luck with whatever you decide to do
