Over a month ago I posted about a wound I found on one of my hens that was infested with live maggots. The wound was about 1" below her vent. Thanks to everyone's reply, thought I got rid of maggots. However, she's still not good. Wound has healed but she is basically lifeless most of the time. Has a "green" color diarreha and smells. She looks swollen below her vent down to between her legs. Could maggots been trapped inside when the wound closed and literally "eating her alive"? Need ya'lls help please

Sounds like some sort of an infection

poor thing ... I don't know about the maggots though ... think they would be flies by now

... the only thing I know to try would be some antibiotics but I am no expert either... hope you figure it out!

Infection is what I'm thinking. I'm giving her an antibiotic and hope it works. Thanks for your reply
