There us evidence that vaccinated chicks can shed the virus, but most people mix them all the time. Most of my flock is unvaccinated, but my oldest birds are. I've not had a problem, and I've not heard of any who do. But it's def a valid concern.

From what I've experienced and read, yes and no.

Yes, if the vaccinated ones have been exposed to mareks (It's a leaky vaccine, which means it prevents symptoms, but not contamination)

No if the vaccinated birds have never been exposed to mareks.

honestly i don’t know lol. i was pretty tired when the thought came to me. i guess since its a leaky vaccine where the bird can still shed the virus i was concerned because i wasn’t sure if the vaccine itself infects the vaccinated bird? though it sounds like that is sometimes the case.

Well, this is about Matek's, but there's more than one Marek's vaccine.
