Can mixed breeds be kept together?And will a rooster breed another breed of hen?

I rode island hens& may get some newer chisck that are bantems( sex unknown at this time) wondering if end up with a rooster, will he breed any hen.

Roosters do not can what breed a hen is.

Yes, he will...or will at least try. My Marans rooster keeps trying to squash my Sebright hen I have a new home lined up for him.
