Can multiple chickens lay in one nest box at once?

I have my RIR hen who just started laying a few days ago, and now my EE is getting in with her this morning, is that normal?

Yes its just fine. Some birds will share boxes. Usually not a problem. hope this helps and best wishes

Yup---they definitely do share....I have 5 chickens AND 5 nest boxes....and sometimes two just have to use the same box

Yep. I have 5 nests and 5 laying hens right now and they all like to lay in the same spot. It moves around, but all 5 eggs will be in the same spot everyday.
