Can my ducklings give me Salmonella?

Saw a CNN article about how the CDC said that there is a salmonella outbreak with chicks and ducklings. Should I be worried? My ducks are almost 7 weeks old. I’ll stop kissing them. I always wash my hands after handling them though.

It is a realistic possibility. Stopping the kissing is an excellent idea as is the hand washing.
