can my ducks and chickens eat the same feed?

Ducks do not need additional niacin after week 10. The ducks should be fine on chicken feed. You just need to be careful that the males ni the flock don't get too much calcium if you go with a layer feed. You might want to look around your area to see if you can get food in bulk. Also be careful about storage, all that food it going to attract a lot of rodents.

Ducks should not eat chicken feed as a main diet.
My ducks flat out refuse crumble of ANY kind. They shouldnt eat game bird feed.
Again, none of this will harm them, but they need food that is either from theyre natural habitat, or scientifically formulated feed, such as Mazuri Waterfowl Maintenance. My ducks eat Mazuri, free range (which is all manner of plants, grass, and bugs), dried meal worm treats, romaine lettuce (ice burg has no nutritional value), fresh spinach, fresh uncooked corn(stripped off of the cob) frozen berries that melt in theyre pools, watermelon cut into wedges so they can eat it easier, cucumber grated long ways to make it look like 7-8" worms, grapes chopped in half, baby kale, north pacific greens mix, oyster shells once a week in theyre water ( even though the mazuri gives them plenty of calcium for egg production) dont give them to much oyster shell in theyre water because theyre kidneys cant process that much. OR, build a pond and cultivate pond/lake plants into it, throw some minnows and tadpoles in there, etc. Study what ducks eat in the wild, then try to duplicate it.
