can my ducks get avien/fowl/chicken pox

im having a major outbreack of fowl pox in the chickens and are really worryed about my ducks i have 2 muscovy 1 pekin and 1 we are not sure im really worried as my ducks are much more important to me

Hi, from what I have read Yes they can. It is transmitted by mosquitoes. Try to isolate your ducks far away from your chickens. If your ducks are very important to you, you may want to cull (destroy) all the chickens just to be safe. Then you can disinfect & start over w/new chicks. I would do that anyway if it has affected that many chickens. Hope this helps. Separate the ducks asap.
