Hello everyone, I am on vacation been gone from home 1 week with another week to go, and my daughter called me to tell me my Bantam rooster is acting strange. He is sitting in one corner of the run, she said he is still crowing and she saw him eating and drinking but yesterday is when she noticed he was just sitting in the corner. He will get up and walk away from her when she approaches him and walking normal, tail feathers are up, comb is red and head is erect. He isn't hanging out with the hens either. Could he just be missing?

Do you normally spend a good bit of time with them?

I do spend a good deal of time with them, plus Rutherford was raised inside my mudroom during the winter so we spend a lot of time together. He will fly up on my chest, shoulder, head to be petted. This is the first time since I have had him that I have spent more than a day or two away.

    This is Rutherford!

Have your daughter hold her phone up to him so you can have a Skype conversation with the rooster to let him know you still exist.

I don't think this will do anything, nor do I think the rooster will even get close enough to your daughter to see you on the phone, but I think you should try it anyway just for fun.

That is exactly what I told my daughter to do this afternoon when she goes up to feed them to let me Face Time with him lol.
