Is it ok to feed my chicks rabbit pellets for a day? I can not get to the store to buy them more food until tomorrow, I made them some oatmeal and managed to get out to the field and got them some ears of corn which I really do not like to feed them.

I honestly don't know about the rabbit pellets, but as long as they have access to something to eat (which they have) then imo, its not necessary to worry about the rabbit pellets. Some boiled eggs, tinned tuna would make them very happy, but for a day a slightly unbalanced diet is no big deal.

one day will be fine. I'd probably add a boiled egg smashed up and some fatty fish for extra vitamins, protein and amino acids.

So do you think it ok to feed them the rabbit pellets?

My choice would be corn over rabbit pellets.
x2 this. Whole corn is nutritious enough to be a good food source for them for the day and if you add some cooked eggs and maybe some veggies as well, perfect.

The thing with other commercial animals feeds is that they are each made for a specific species. Therefor they may contain things or nutrients in levels that can be harmful if fed to species other than what they were formulated for.

Edited to add: If you have dogs and dry dog food for them, that can be fed safely to chickens as well, but in moderate amounts.
