than it means i have three hens and i can not figure out who they are, i feel stupid, when is the vent sexing true age wise?Nope, button eggs take up a lot of room in those hens, just laying one is very tiring. I've never encountered more than one egg a day with mine, but I'm curious if someone owns one that does this (poor hen!)
I suggest taking some pictures and posting them on this forum if you are really curious. There are a lot of people who might be able to ID your buttons if they see the colors and help you outthan it means i have three hens and i can not figure out who they are, i feel stupid, when is the vent sexing true age wise?
I have 2 young hens (9.5 weeks old) and this morning there were FOUR eggs in there and not hidden anywhere either, just lying right out there in the open. I 100% didn't miss any before and they are extremely spoiled pet quail They are on quail breeder pellets with added calcium, get oyster shell, vitamin water with D3, millet, fresh fruit/veg and black soldier fly larvae They only started laying a few days ago, no lash eggs/fairy eggs at all First one egg, then none the next day, then one, then I found four and I thoroughly cleaned every inch of the enclosure each timeNope, button eggs take up a lot of room in those hens, just laying one is very tiring.
