Can one cock manage eight hens?

Title says it all. I have no idea what the ratio should be as I am new to peafowl. Thank you in advance for your help.

Mine had 7 this year and he just turned 3 years old this month.. it was said they could not handle that many at this age but i got fertile eggs from every one of those hens, guess it depends on diet ,living conditions and genetics.

My peas are not in pens .
