I am getting some peacocks and i also would like a pair or trio of red golden pheasants...........can peacocks and red golden pheasents be kepted together????

It depends on what size pen you will be keeping them in and the temperament of your peafowl. Peafowl can get bossy and gang up on other fowl, especially when bored. Given good tempered peafowl and a big enough space it is possible, but I personally would rather keep them separate to avoid the risk of injury.

I have read that they can be kept together, but like chickenzoo said, I prefer to keep mine separate too, there is a huge size difference and peafowl can get a little rowdy. I would think if they were raised together, it would probably work, but otherwise, peafowl can be pretty relaxed, or they can really be aggressive (or playful sometimes) towards other species.

Yes, a lot depends on the temperment of the peafowl and size of the pen. I have often put goldens and amherst (even some ringnecks last year) in with my quad of peafowl with no problem. They have a 25' x 50' flightpen though.

I have kept golden with my peafowl for years and have never had a problem all my breeder pens are 10x30. If you decide to keep them together I would watch them for a few days to make sure they will get along.

The thing is, peafowl and golden pheasants prefer two totally different environments, so it actually makes sense to house them together to save room and provide behavioral enrichment for both- as both socially aggregate- they like to gather in social units.
Neither species like to be kept in bare open spaces but peafowl are adapted to live in savannah habitat- wide open spaces- but where grass is just about as tall as they are. They also don't like to get caught up in underbrush so you won't find them in brushy places too often, in the wild at any rate. Golden pheasants on the other hand are birds that prefer to live on steep slopes- the more vertical the better. Look how slender a golden pheasant is. It can walk through a clump of bamboo quicker than a dog can find treats in the kitty litter. So here's the scoop.
1. Build some shelves along the walls of your aviary. They don't have to be anything fancy but wide enough for the golden pheasants to hang out on without having to compete with the peafowl for common physical space. I prefer to put a nice lip on a shelf and call it a loft. You can line it with rubber or some other material for easy cleaning or just fill it with sand. You'll always want to put up more than one shelf though so the birds can pop up and down as they like and fly across the space while getting to stay at the same altitude. This is something mountain adapted birds really prefer to do- move from one ravine to the other without ever having to change altitudes.

Feed the goldens on their loft and feed the peafowl separately. They will naturally share feeders but its good to let them have their own respective feed tables.
