Another reliable source of info is 'Energy value of rice, broken rice, and rice bran for broiler chickens by the regression method' https://doi.org/10.1016/j.psj.2020.12.069 Lots of detail in the paper, but key point about method is "The test ingredients evaluated for their energy values were samples of rice, broken rice, and rice bran. Rice was obtained by polishing brown rice after germ layer and skin removal. Broken rice was the crushed rice, which was a by-product of rice processing and included the germ layer. Rice bran was not defatted" and cutting to the chase, "In conclusion, the present study showed that rice, broken rice, and rice bran are potential energy source in corn–soybean meal diets for broiler chickens. The IDE, ME, MEn values (kcal/kg of DM) of rice were 3,185, 3,103, and 3,014, respectively, while for broken rice, the values were 3,199, 3,190, and 3,092, respectively, and for rice bran, the values were were 2,562, 2,709, and 2,624, respectively."
