can pullets have a dark red comb?

I posted in the breed hen/rooster type place. But i got only one reply. I would like to get several opinions because I'm usually good at determining sex and right 99% of the time. But this one I refuse to determine because I have never seen anything like it before.

5 weeks old last saturday, Cochin mix. I'm hoping for a pullet to the point of being ready to toss her in with the forsure pullets. but she'll be going to my mom as she's a B.tch Nearly took my eye out when i tried to pick her up.

Well, if she is a "B.tch" it might be a boy, they tend to be jerks. Post some more pics when it is a little older and we'll see.

for now I moved her in with my other pullets. I plan to take her to my moms so if she turns out to be a he then my mom will have two roosters from my hatch instead of one. They are on 5 acres and have 20 hens. So 2 roosters wont be a big deal.

Thats a roo for sure, you can tell by the size of the legs and the shiny feathers coming in. But you should never have to deal with a mean boy, and if he is aggresive now, he will be much worse when he hits maturity. Unless you plan on putting some work into taming him down. I would start carrying him around all the time and handling him as much as you can.

if it turns out to be a rooster then my mom will have me come down to butcher him if it fights with the other rooster I'm giving her. Or she'll have me butcher the other rooster. She loves aggressive roosters as long as they aren't mean to the hens. There have been issues in the past of people getting in and stealing her eggs from the hen house. I've dealt with aggressive roosters as a child. I've also dealt with really aggressive hens as well. My mom has a few of them as well.
