can putting a clip on a chicks foot harm their development?

hi i have put some chicken clips on my chick foot to i can identify what ones i am keeping and just wondering if it can harm there groth or development there about from 1 week to 2 weeks old ?

Where on the chicks foot would you place the clip? I could see having a problem developing if the device somehow restricts their bone/tissue growth. If its just a band around the leg, leave it somewhat loose and adjust it as needed.

there loose on there legg there 6mm so there is some room

Keep a very close eye on leg bands on growing chicks. They will need to be changed often as not to be outgrown.
