can rats or mice get through 1/2 hardware cloth??

They'd have to be mighty tiny.

1/2" they'd have to be fairly small too.

Every winter we have issues with mice. Here in my second office I see the squeezing under the closet door. 1/4 only. Of course that not 1/4 x 1/4. But still a very slim tight fit and still they get under it.
