Can RIR mix chickens lay brown eggs?

My understanding is that in eggs brown is dominate over white.

So you won’t have white eggs but you may have tinted or light brown eggs. Depends on the parents.

Most eggs are white and the color is applied shortly before laying. When you crack an egg open it is usually white inside.

whether the male has the white egg gene or the Females does might matter too. I have read and have limited experience that tells me that the male has slightly more influence on the egg color of the next generation than the female does. If someone with more experience says otherwise I would defer to them.

So it depends on the gene??? The reds are mostly with "red color" i think they might be mixed with leghorns?? I have to ask the breeder when I go and pick em up.
