Can Roos eat layer?

Hi, I recently got 3 leghorn chickens and although they aren't adult birds yet, I was wondering can roosters eat layer pellets? I have 2 soon to be hens and then 1 soon to be rooster. So I'm just wondering if it will harm them or not? Thanks!

Feed an all ages 'flock raiser.' Supplement the hens diet with oyster shell.

Layer feed is too hard on the roo's kidneys. So while the CAN eat it, they SHOULDN'T eat it. It will shorten their lives.
