Im wondering if roos can live happy be themselves or in groups with no hens? or is that not likely? I perfer roos to hens and i would like to keep show roos only but i want them to be happy

Yes. We have roosters that live alone. They are quite content and happy. No problems at all.

I had a batchelor pad at the festival where I cared for the poultry and rabbits. There were 8 beautiful little bantam roos and they got along great! I do believe they were raised together though. Don't know if that makes a difference.

I bet they would be much better behaved without hens. That is why my roo was so mean. He thought he had to protect them.

Depends on the roo. If you have more than one, then you need space for them to escape from one another. Since you can not "geld" a roo you may wish to find roos of the same size and temperment. I would think the polish roos would get along just fine with other polish roos. They seem to be perfect gentleroos.

would silkie and showgirls roos be okay together you think? and yes a capon is a gelded roo

Probably happier than they would be in the soup pot

I have heard they can do fine together, with no hens.
