For a few days, our babyRoo "Mr. Meatbird" has become obsessed with killing his Silkie dad, and we have them separated. Mr. Meaty needs a good new home. One gentleman says he will take him, he just rec'd a shipment of 4 ducks about 5months old, including a Mallard. He wonders if it is OK to keep a rooster with his new ducks?

We could send Mr. Meaty with his sister "Fryerbird", she would be terribly lonesome without him.

With names like that, why aren't you eating them?

Any more advice anyone? Can Mr. Meatbird and his sister Fryerbird move in with a new family of ducks? They will have a half acre to freerange with a pond....and a shed with electricity to roost in....

We just wonder if there are any safety or disease issues? If he's attacking his dad, will he attack a 5 month old mallard?
