The supplier to our feed store shut down, so we're considering our options. We have a rooster in each pen so we feed a 17% grower with calcium on the side. Other feed store offers layer feed, or a grower 26% protein. We understand that protein level is too high for our chickens. Would it be practical/advisable to mix feeds to lower overall protein and reduce the calcium percentage to a safe level for the roosters?

You could add grains to the 26% protein feed do dilute the feed, 1:1 ratio, are layer feed and grower the only options? All flock is great if they have that
