Can roosters eat ~

I have 2 hens in the coop who will be soon laying. I also have 1 roo that shares the coop with them. When I swap them over from the chick starter, can the roo eat it too?

I guess. Maybe the calcium would be too much for him, maybe not. If you are going to give the birds free choice oyster shell and treats they should be fine. The treats will mean he won't get as much calcium from the feed so a little oyster shell would be a good idea.
Wow~I made that sound scientific! Sort of.
 
My roo eats the layer pellets along with the hens. They say over time the extra calcium is not good for him, but I don't expect him to live to be 100 and trying to provide him with seperate feed is not feasible.
