im just curious how chickens who aren't laying yet shouldn't eat layers feed because it has too much calcium in it for them, but rosters dont lay and they can eat layer feed? do roosters eat oyster shells that are available for hens? can roosters ever get too much calcium?

I have wondered the same thing- my roos gobble it down with the hens- anybody know if this is potentially bad?
