Can roosters sense gender?

Hi, i was just wondering. Would my pet rooster think I’m a hen or his fellow rooster friend? And does he assume my gender by my looks or how I act? Or does he just think I’m some random entity that gives him treats lol.

I think people can behave in a way the rooster interprets either as submission or dominance, the former can invite aggression from so inclined individuals.....what else they understand, I don't know....

It’s not so much a rooster thinks you’re a hen, it’s they think you are one of the group. Adult roosters do the ‘your one of my group shuffle’ to younger roosters and cockerels.
I’ve had a few roosters that I’ve known from hatching. For quite a few months they’ve treated me as a group member. I’ve had food dropped for me, the your mine shuffle and all the behavior one would associate with a rooster thinking I’m one of his hens. It’s never bothered me. They grow out of it once they have their own hens. It bothers some people who seem to think this is aggressive behavior; it isn’t normally.
The mistake I believe some people make is to pick the rooster up and cuddle it. If you want the behavior to stop then you need to change how you view and behave towards the rooster.

Remember...you are not a chicken....you are the human keeper of the chickens.
Chickens don't think like humans, beware anthropomorphism.

I like to think of myself as the head rooster, I like to be considered a chicken by them because it makes me feel like I’m part of the group lol.

You can’t be the head rooster, you’re not a chicken and according to your profile you’re female…..yes it does make a difference, like it or not.

It is a terrible mistake to believe you can be the head rooster and will, if you continue to believe this, bring you into direct conflict with the chicken that is the head rooster. There can only be one and it won’t be you.

The best you can hope for is to be a hen; it doesn’t matter if you’re male or female, I’ve been a hen quite a few times, I’m just a hen that’s too big to boss about.

None of the senior hens here take any nonsense from any of the roosters to the point of fighting them.

This may make my point better:
