My black silkie Fillet laid her first egg yesterday! Thats right YESTERDAY. Today I go out and she's sitting on another egg and REFUSED to move. I took it anyways. She got off the nest before I closed up the coop (too windy to let them out today of all days). Then I look back from the deck and she's back in the nesting box like something is there.

I got out to smoke a bit again, and again.... still on the nest?! She's a little new at this to go broody already?!
