Another Vaulted Skulled chick to add to the difference.I would also get two, they need a buddy.
The non vaulted skull types would be less fragile.
I raised my Silkies with standards and they have no problems at all in fact the silkies are the bosses!
Photos attached shows chicks that have a vaulted skull vs. chicks that have a non-vaulted skull.

It believe it goes back to when polish were introduced to silkies some years ago to improve the crest size. Many breeders are trying to breed away from them again. In my recent hatch 2 of 7 have the vaulted skulls, rest non vaulted. Not sure how the genetics play out.Whoa I had no idea about vaulted/non vaulted skulls for silkies!
