One day i want out to let my chickens out of their coop and one of them was losing her feathers but the thing is its winter so i knew she couldnt be molting so i just let it go thought nothing of it then like one or two weeks later she still is losing them but i cut her wings like a month ago not very much just enough where she couldnt fly over the fence so i also knew that, that wasnt it because they would have grown back. Then i discovered like blisters on her skin but at the top they had little black dots and i didnt have the money to take her to the vet so i just started cleaning their coop more often and cleaning the spider webs out and nothing changed and she STILL is losing them i dont know what to do!. (none of my other chickens have this)
a picture would be very helpful but it sounds like foul pox. look up foul pox and see if the pictures match. hope this is helpful. I can't see the bumps but that's what it sounds like. with foul pox it must run its course and if it is foul pox it is contagious. good luck and let us know if the pictures match what your experiencing.search foul pox and see what you think
Could the blisters and black spots be where the feathers were, and they are re-growing? A picture would help indeed. I had 3 hens this year molt during wintertime, and it wasn't their time to molt.
