CAN SOMEONE ADVICE PLEASE how to you tell the age of a hen

I know how to age a dog,cat,horse,and a cow can anyone tell me how do you age a chicken,
my Mom has 4 blue coppers she got from a lady and was told they should be old enough to start laying anytime ,sorry I have no pics of them and MOM can't post don't know how.but she thinks the lady sold her old birds are there anythings to look for to tell the differnce,

and I would post for her but she lives 200 miles away and I have no pics of her birds thanks for any idea and GOD Bless

Also I know that hens in a new home or coop.....need to adjust to the new situation, and sometimes stop laying because of stress and I would have patience and see what happens in about a month. Good luck to you
