Whats the difference between a Rouen and a Mallard? I guess I've never seen a Rouen in person. But they seem to resemble mallards?

Size. Rouens are large and a meat breed. The Mallards are the wild type duck from which all the domestic ducks, except the muscovy originate. Yes it is the same colorations though, just like the mallard form of the call is a grey.

Rouens are usually larger and stockier than mallards and usually can't fly, or at least fly very much.

so from what you guys said and what I just read...I assume my "mallards" are actually Rouens.

If your mallard can't fly worth a darn and seem bigger than the wild ones you see in the park, yes, your "mallards" are actually Rouens.
