Can someone give me some insight....

Is Bootsie a pullet or cockerel?

I'm saying cockerel.

I have no experience and am probably wrong or it is just a lucky guess. And I know he's not a full bred brahma, but my brahma pullet has a tiny, barely noticeable comb, and fairly light at that. That's what I'm basing it on. I don't know what a cochin's comb looks like, nor do I know which comb is coming through. Like I said, just a guess.

I'm gonna say cockerel based on comb, & leg fatness.

Gender determining feathers aren't showing yet, give it time?

For cochins, i focus on comb shape, and whether it starts before or after the nostrils, i don't worry about pink, but actual bright red is a giveaway.

Thanks for popping by, she has some odd feathers on the shoulder of her one wing, I posted a picture last night of the feathers in question. And the hackles deep down look shiny.
