That's a pretty chick! Which breed is the father? And what color cochin? The question is: Is my dear Bootsie, a Bantam Cochin x Standard Buff Brahma cross, a pullet or cockerel?
Thank you so much, her father is a standard sized buff Brahma! We have only two bantam Cochin hens, A red and a white, so I am unsure which one she came from. That's a pretty chick! Which breed is the father? And what color cochin?
Thank you so much! Here are some pics that might help.. these are female cochins, not sure how your mix affects things..

For cochins, i focus on comb shape, and whether it starts before or after the nostrils, i don't worry about pink, but actual bright red is a giveaway.
Hope this helps!
Thanks for popping by, she has some odd feathers on the shoulder of her one wing, I posted a picture last night of the feathers in question. And the hackles deep down look shiny.I don't know how the tag didn't work, because I completely missed this one.
I'm gonna say cockerel based on comb, & leg fatness.
Gender determining feathers aren't showing yet, give it time?
