I have 4 eggs from my own chickens that are all growing the same and look way more advanced than the ones I got in the mail. Mine were under the chicken for a day and left on the counter for 3 days. The eggs I got in the mail are all different bantams and white, brown and 2 greenish that I can't really see through. I took out 2 that looked the same as they did on day 1. Just yolk and air bubbles around it. But I have about 4 that I can't see veins but the yolk is darker and it's bigger than it was. It I can't tell if it's just a rotten egg. There is something kinda there but it's not at all like the others where I can actually see the bird moving and the big eye.

It seems like my eggs are farther along with development so I'm worried they will hatch earlier before I've upoed the humidity. What should I do about that? And why are they looking farther along when they were put in the same time and had no growth starting out bc I candled.

Any advice please!!

This is one of mine where the embryo is moving and you can see the eye

First, I'd re-candle on Day 10 before deciding whether or not to pitch out any eggs. You'll be able to compare what you're seeing now to what you'll see in a few days. Make notes on what each egg looks like now and compare to Day 10.

As they were set at the same time, they should hatch at approximately the same time, give or take 12 hours.

Shipped eggs can be very risky, as the shipping process can damage the air cell and egg contents. If you're still seeing no signs of development in the shipped eggs on day 10, it's most likely due to infertile eggs and/or shipping damage. Early quitters (early death) is also common in shipped eggs.

What do the first 2 eggs look like to you?
The first 2 eggs look clear, but it's hard to tell for sure with the mottling on the eggshell. Be sure you're candling from the large (fat) end of the egg, which is where the air cell is located. You'll have better visibility when the light shines through the air cell first.

Did you happen to check the stability of the air cells (on the shipped eggs) before setting them?
