my big ol' drake died sometime today..he was around 5 years old and had been healthy up until 2 days ago when i noticed he looked 'off'
yesterday i caught him and noticed his face was yellow under the red. all the skin around his eyes was yellow as was the skin leading to his bill. i brought him in to keep a closer eye on him but found he'd passed away when i got home from work today.
was he perhaps classed as 'older' at that age (i have no idea how old muscovies live to be?) and could have had liver issues (isnt yellow skin attributed to liver problems?)
just feeling a bit sad that he's gone...we have a younger drake that can take his place but he was so sweet
