I just have a flashlight that I use, and I have seen a lot of posts regarding testing the fertility? I am not able to tell until probably day 7 at least if they have anything in them. I tried using a 40 watt light bulb, covered by a cup, but it was very warm...I was afraid of cooking the poor things!

I use a mini maglight flashlight and it works great. I have made a few candlers but I always end up melting something or burning something even with a 25 watt bulb.

Quote:Yeah I did melt part of the cup I had sitting over the light. Good thing is I had a baby hatch today, and the light was my brooder light, so I can't use that now!
