My daughter found this litttle guy on the side of the road next to a bunch of dead little ones. No momma was around. Can someone tell me if its a goose or a duckling. And any tips on raising it. I live in the country so I dont have to worry about any ordinances as I dont have any where I live.

I'm not a duck or goose guru...but it look like a goose to me. Regardless I would get some pine shavings in there. If possible maybe you could go to your local feed store and see if they have ducklings or chicks as a companion. Your local feed store would also have the pine shavings, feed (I don't know what breeders use, but if I'm in a pinch I use flockraiser for everything and it hasn't killed any one yet), feeders and waterers.
