Can someone identify

I got this young rooster as a chick. He was in a delivery of Golden Laced Wyandottes, Black Copper Marans and Barnavelders. Does anyone have a clue if he is one of those 3 or just a stranger that jumped into the box?

Hes called a peanut, their used just for extra warmth.

Hes probably a sex link (I've never known much about them),or a golden comet

He is not a wyandotte or barnavelder. I think he is too light colored to be a Black copper maran, but they do come it different shades (http://www.backyardpoultrymag.com/issues/5/5-3/marans_chickens_layers_of_chocolate_brown_eggs.html)

He could be a sex link mix, I guess. One of his parents certainly carried the gene for an beautiful green/black tail.

I thought the male sex-links were white since the females are orange....??? And wouldn't there be some barring?

Sex links is just where you breed 2 breeds that make sex link chicks. It depends on the 2 breeds you bred, If I remember correctly. If it was a barred rock mix yes, it would have barring, but theres other mixes.

Not 100% sure on this tho, so I may be wrong.

Sex link males are either barred (black sex links) or silver based (red sex links). No sex link cross will make a roo that color.

I think he's probably a hatchery New Hamp, or some other generic red bird.
