can someone please help! Iv already lost one baby

My smallest cochin hen had some what i thought was fat under her jaw where her waddle would be. noticed it yesterday. found her dead this morning. she was acting completely normal. I just thought she was turing into a fatty. welk today my Millie has the "fat" "double chin" thing and I'm afraid il lose her next. Please if anyone has seen this before tell me what I can do!!

I am sorry this is happening. I try to respond at least to people who have no answers because I know what it is like to not have anyone answer you. With you being from Texas, I have never seen this before in any bird, my gut says that she, they, got bit by something, some kind of spider, snake or scorpion maybe? If it is something that is nearby in the coop area, they may be going after it and then getitng bit Look aroun real carefully to see if you see anything

Smoky73,thank you so much for your time. I went ahead and gave an antibiotic since it wasn't getting better and within 24hrs after treatment the "swelling" has gone down.yay! I really appreciate your response!!
