Can someone possibly answer this

I had an EE that laid an egg a day for the first week after I got her and then quit. It was almost 3 months before she started laying again but then she was back to an egg a day. It's almost as though she had some eggs that needed to be laid and then she needed time to acclimate to her new surroundings.

Are you sure that she is 11 months old?
Her comb looks very small.
Could another hen have laid the eggs that you think were from her?

No, I know she was laying before. The day I got her she was sitting on a egg and the women that had given her to me said she had just stared laying 4 days ago.
I know the color and shape and size of all my other hens eggs and when she came to my flock her eggs were quite different then my other hens eggs.
Because of this I know she was laying

As to her age, the women told me at the time she was 8 months old, I got her May the 12 th,2009

I think she is contemplating whether she really wants to be a stay-at-home make-eggs chicken, or pursue a career (acting for Foster Farms...?). Seriously I can commiserate, I have an EE who started laying young, gave me beautiful blue eggs, and now a month has passed and she gives me nothing. Lays on the nest, but nothing...(I spy on her a lot). I figure if she doesn't cause any trouble, she can hang out with the others (she's a quiet, bottom of POrder chicken).
