Speckled sussex eggs are the same color as the brown eggs you would buy from the store.

Light brown. You can just look it up, or if you have trouble finding the pictures, "Wyandotte", "Rhode island red", those would be about the same color.

A mixed breed hen with an Ameraucana parent can lay a blue or green egg, sure.

Purebred Sussex lay brown eggs. My speckleds have layed a very light shade of brown. Pretty much the same color as the "flesh" crayon.

Ditto. My SS lays a very llight brown egg, almost cream in color. Her eggs are also on the smaller side so maybe a medium size egg...

It may or may not help... I have a Dominique rooster that has covered my EE hens, I hatched out there eggs in September and they have started laying the last couple weeks... Out of the four new hens I get 3 light blue and 1 almost olive colored egg.. None lay brown eggs

Then the brown one is from a speckled and the rest are from his Ameraucana (likely Easter Egger) hens.
