We have 104 "roos" and so far have identified 6 of them to be 100% female. Of the remainder, MOST have bright bright red combs of good size with well-developed wattles. BUT about 1/3 of them have smaller combs and smaller wattles and are pink, light pink, not red. Any ideas?

I'm glad those six are are 100% female...you run into issues when they're only partially female!

Yep, depends on breed; usually if they are less than 8 weeks and they have a comb that is turning red, it's a roo. A pullet's comb doesn't typically turn red until they approach egg-lay.
