Can the hairs from a caterpillar cause swelling in a wattle of a chicken?

So i just noticed one of my hen's wattles were. Swelled.. her appetite, egg laying and pooping are normal... yet her ine wattle is swelled in the one side. I have her isolated, vitamins and probiotics and apple cider vinegar in her water. I noticed a bunch of hairy caterpillars on a sunflower of mine that is right up against their run.. could she have gotten a few hairs from it in her wattle... pics in case anyone can offer any advice

Absolutely. Some caterpillars here in Panama are poisonous to the touch. Deadly poisonous.
