Will the hens accept a roo if they are not housed together? My friend would like to hatch some eggs.. my hens to her roo. will it work if I drop the girls off for a few weeks or not a good idea? They all came from the same breeder origionally so not worried about illness all are healthy . what do you all think ?

It is always best to move the Rooster to the Hen's, fertility is increased.

they were hatched at the same breeder and raised together up untill the last few months.. I think they will be fine.. they will ( the 3 of them ) all seperated from the rest of the flock

Hens can be so sensitive...I would bring the rooster to your hens. He'll be excited to see his new ladies, but if you move the ladies, they'll just be upset and irritated......maybe not in the mood for love! LOL

Just looking out for you. I can't stand when I get a sick bird, and when it's my own fault for doing something not so smart it's worse.
