Can the same chicken lay two different color eggs?

Hi!
I have three laying hens and 3 more pullets who are 15 weeks and 13 weeks.

We had 3 eggs in the egg box today, but one was a different color from what I expect (see photo). Is it normal for a hen to have variations on their egg color/tint? Or has one of our 15 weekers laid early (pretty unlikely, I think…)

Heavy bloom can make for a purplish tint to brown shades. I suppose it's entirely possible the same hen laid both eggs.

It sometimes depends on how low long it was in her body, that affects the pigmentation.

How long have you had your 3 hens....how old are they, in months?

Pelvic point spacing in pullets can be telling,
but sometimes you've got to 'catch them in the act' to be absolutely certain.
