Can they eat Strawberries???????

I feed them the tops all the time and they love it. I'm too selfish to share the good part with them, sorry chickens!

I give mine all my berry left overs. NO MOLD, I know better. Haven't found a one they don't like. Have had no signs of any sickness from them.

Chickens will eat any thing from raspberries to road kill and everything in between. The advise to avoid old or spoiled food of all kinds is good because spoiled or moldy food may result in botulism or other maladies.

Take my advise and don't fall asleep in your chickens' pen, you may well wake up on the inside of your chickens.

I just chopped up a small strawberry and put it in my hand for the chicks. They raced over and stared at it. Pecked around my hand and seemed curious but afraid. To date, they have only had the medicated chick food. I dropped the pieces near their food container and 15 minutes later there was no sign of any strawberry entering the cage.
