Question about giving my chickens treats

So I am fairly new to owning backyard chickens and I live in the city. My chickens love when I find them mock strawberries to feed them but lately they are not growing in my yard and I'm really horrible with trying to grow anything so my question is this, can I buy freeze dried strawberries and feed them to my egg laying hens (as treats)? Thank you!

I don't see why not. Fresh or frozen would probably be cheaper than freeze dried. Just limit treats to 10% daily intake (about what they can eat in 10 minutes or so - berries though I might cut to 5 minutes).
