I think I will use the wooden box idea. There were several old boxes in the shed so I can try a few different heights. I think I am also going to move the hanging feeder so it isn't such an easy jumping off point.

And rottdog, I got the flooring by posting on Freecycle. If you lived in NH I might think I got it from you
